Lauren Jones is a born and raised Charlotte native. She is the fourth team member of the Cone Charlotte Office. As a native to this city, she has seen the amazing growth Charlotte has experienced over the last ten years and is excited to be a part of the change. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design Technology while being a collegiate track and field athlete at East Carolina University, she then received her Masters of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Functional art is a practice that sparked her interest in Architecture. The ideology of creating spaces and places that are attractive and in turn create inclusivity is a main driver for Lauren. She loves to design for people and create a positive impact on a person’s life though design. Residential Architecture and the connection to the urban fabric is important in creating spaces of community – that has always been an important factor in her design thought process.
When she isn’t in the office, she is often hanging out with her family and friends. She may also be training to run a race or sitting out enjoying the sun.
