Caitlyn Salters

B. Arch '16 - Auburn University
Caitlyn grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, and moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University in 2011. During her time at Auburn, she was able to participate in the Rural Studio, where she developed a passion for affordable housing and community driven work while designing and building rural single family affordable housing. She graduated in 2016 with a strong conviction that architecture should be of its place, environmentally and aesthetically, and that design should be for everyone. After graduating, Caitlyn moved to Seattle to practice architecture in the affordable housing field and quickly felt at home with Seattle’s beauty, the music scene, and found family. After working for eight years in multifamily affordable housing in the Puget Sound region, she is excited to continue this work by adding housing density to Seattle’s city fabric to address affordability needs across the spectrum with Cone Architecture.
In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys biking around the city, getting outside, cooking new recipes, spending quality time with her friends, and playing video games on gloomy days.
