Isaac Hartman

B.S. Arch '18 - University of Colorado Denver

Japanese Language and Proficiency Exam N3

Born in Las Cruces, NM to a couple of music majors, isaac has a convert’s passion for design and was turned toward architecture via career counseling. Before moving to Denver to study architecture, isaac changed majors every semester at New Mexico State University on a bassoon scholarship and studied abroad in Bunkyo, Tokyo.

A critical optimist who is determined to improve the world while in it, isaac feels a strong responsibility as a designer to affect positive change with his work. Highly concerned with the ecological, social, and psychological impact of architecture, they strive to design contextually sensitive and relevant spaces that are both elegant and practical. Isaac developed a high bar for urban environments during her time in Tokyo, and comes to Seattle intent on contributing to densification that doesn’t compromise the health of its residents.

Out of the office, isaac enjoys playing the bassoon, languages, landscape architecture, ambient music, driving, and movies at SIFF.
