Julia’s Coffee and Books

Julia’s Café and Books is a time-honored Charlotte coffee shop and used bookstore connected to the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Julia’s Coffee and Books is unique to Charlotte and is the only one of its kind, making it a beloved part of the Habitat for Humanity Restore.

The Habitat for Humanity Retail team approached Cone Architecture to collaborate on a tenant improvement project for the cafe with plans to maximize seating, reconfigure the front and back of houses, and refresh the space to give it a more competitive edge. The space was organized around a seamless integration of the coffee shop, seating areas, and retail shop elements, resulting in a welcoming, open space for sipping coffee and shopping for books.

The Cone Team was thrilled for the opportunity to work on this project with the Habitat for Humanity Retail team. We are honored to be a part of the the legacy of Julia’s Coffee and Books!
