For the first time in Habitat’s portfolio, the development incorporates garage units and three‑story housing options, broadening the spectrum of attainable home types and improving long‑term flexibility for homeowners.

Hillside Ridge reinforces an important design philosophy: that affordable housing and market‑rate housing need not be visually or materially separated. By unifying exterior detailing, massing strategies, and color palettes across all unit types—while still introducing individualized touches—Cone Charlotte helped establish a community where equity is embedded directly into the streetscape. The development demonstrates how contextually sensitive massing, balanced façade articulation, and varied materiality can create neighborhoods that feel coherent, dignified, and welcoming to all.
