16th Double
Utilizing a corner site with an existing single-family house on one end of the property, this project embraces the opportunity to add two additional homes to the transit‑rich Roosevelt neighborhood in a way that feels natural and rooted in place. Thoughtful massing and careful attention to scale allow the new residences to blend seamlessly with the established streetscape, giving the impression that they’ve always belonged there.
Vaulted ceilings and expansive street‑facing windows in the primary suites introduce abundant natural light while creating a striking architectural presence both inside and out. The pitched rooflines, traditional lap siding, and warm wood accents reference the surrounding residential character, reinforcing a cohesive visual language.
Rooftop decks tucked behind the gabled forms and terraced rear patios offer private, sheltered outdoor areas that maximize usable space without compromising neighborhood privacy. Collectively, these design choices support a sensitive, context‑driven infill approach that provides much‑needed housing while elevating the daily experience of residents.
