16th Ave Woonerf

Located in central Seattle, this 10 unit project explores a unique orientation towards the street by opening a central parking court and focusing unit entries inward, around pedestrian pathways woven through what is typically a dark, interior space.  The upper floors of each home reach into the interior, and angle towards the city views.  This design move allowed all units to take advantage of the view corridor toward downtown, while still creating privacy between the living spaces on neighboring sides of the urban courtyard.
